Steel VS. Brass Studs - What's the difference?

We offer 2 types of Stud options:

Steel Studs
Our standard ICERS feature durable steel studs designed to provide reliable traction while hiking, fishing, hunting, or working in difficult terrain.

Brass Studs
For specialized environments, ICERS are also available with brass, non-sparking studs. These are designed for use in petrochemical and chemical applications where non-sparking traction is required.

What happens when the studs wear out?

When your ICERS studs eventually wear down, there’s no need to replace the entire unit. All ICERS studs are user-replaceable, so you can easily give your ICERS a fresh set of traction.

We offer replacement studding kits to make the process simple, and studs can be replaced using a standard screwdriver or drill. It’s a quick and easy way to keep your ICERS ready for whatever winter throws your way.
Where are ICERs made?

Proudly made in Canada! 🇨🇦 ICERS are designed, cut, sewn, assembled, and shipped from our workshop in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

From cutting the webbing and hook-and-loop fastener to sewing each strap, installing every stud, and adding every bar tack, our small, dedicated team handles every step from start to ship.

It’s a hands on process, and we take pride in putting the same attention to quality into every pair of ICERS that leaves our workshop.
